Saturday Family Fun Days

Join SFA Gardens educators, students, and volunteers for fun outdoor learning adventures. Check back as events are added.

  • Birding in the Backyard of the SFA Gardens - February 15, 2025
    Join SFA Gardens to participate in the “Great Backyard Bird Count” sponsored globally by Cornell Lab, Audubon and Birds Canada at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center on February 15, 2025. Activities will be offered for people of all ages to help them learn how to identify, count and document birds to help scientists better understand and protect birds.  Check back for more information.

Little Princess Tea Party 

Grab your tiara and get ready for a magical day of treats, fairy gardens, magic and merriment at the Little Princess Tea Party. Fun activities, including singing, story time, and more are led by SFA Gardens environmental education fairies. Teatime snacks and drinks are provided. The event is recommended for princesses 3 to 10 years of age who are accompanied by an adult. The 2025 Little Princess Tea Party is scheduled for April 26. “Texas Tough” plant sales

Bring a wagon and swing by our twice-a-year plant sale, where you’ll find a variety of hard-to-find native plants, including heirlooms, perennials, shrubs and trees.
