On 12-16-2024, a UTS-SFA officer on routine patrol found graffiti on the top floor of the Village Parking Garage. A review of security cameras found that on 12-15-2024 four suspects drew vulgar images and derogatory statements on the walls and floor of the garage using chalk. A report was generated for criminal mischief. This incident is under investigation.

On 12-10-2024, a UTS-SFA officer on routine patrol observed activity in the Education Annex Building that should have been locked and unoccupied at the time. The officer went inside and found three subjects drinking alcohol in a classroom. One subject was twenty-one years of age and the other two were under twenty-one. The twenty-one-year-old was placed under arrest for furnishing alcohol to a minor and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. The other two subjects were issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol. The three subjects are SFA students.

On 12-6-2024, UTS-SFA officers were dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. Officers located the subject who was found to be intoxicated. The subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. This subject is an SFA student.
On 12-8-2024, a UTS-SFA officer stopped a vehicle on Raguet Street for a traffic violation. As the officer contacted the vehicle he smelled marihuana. The occupant admitted to having marihuana inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and the officer located the marihuana. The occupant was issued a class b summons for possession of marihuana and released. The occupant is an SFA student.
Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 – Friday, Dec. 6, 2024
On 12-5-2024, a UTS-SFA officer contacted two subjects in the 600 block of East College due to suspicious activity. One subject failed to identify himself after repeated requests by the officer. That subject was then detained and a pat-down search was conducted when the officer located his driver’s license in his pocket. That subject was issued a citation for failure to identify. Both subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings from campus. They were not SFA students.
On 12-6-2024, a UTS-SFA officer traveling down Vista Drive when they were flagged down by an SFA worker who stated there were two subjects walking inside the student center and one was carrying a hammer. The officers didn’t locate the subjects inside the student center but did locate them a short time later in Lot 42. When officers approached the subjects, they fled on foot. Officers apprehended one of the subjects in the 1300 block of University Drive. That subject was identified as being criminally trespassed from SFA weeks earlier. That subject was arrested for criminal trespass and evading. He was then transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. This incident is still under investigation. The second subject was not located but has been identified. These two subjects are not SFA students.
Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024 – Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024
On 12-4-2024, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the Student Center Parking Garage in reference to a parking complaint. The officer met with Parking Services and learned that a vehicle that was parked in a handicapped spot was displaying a handicap placard that was stolen. The officer located the driver of the vehicle who was issued a citation for possessing a stolen placard. The officer took possession of the placard and released the suspect.

On 11-28-2024, UTS-SFA officers were dispatched to the Mize Azalea Gardens in reference to a suspicious person. The officers found a male subject lying on the ground asleep and found the subject to be intoxicated. The subject was arrested and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail for public intoxication without incident. The subject was not an SFA student.
On 12-1-2024, a UTS-SFA officer was on routine patrol and noticed a damaged exit sign in the Lumberjack Village Parking Garage. The officer was able to view security camera footage and found that on 11-19-2024, two males intentionally damaged the exit sign. This incident is currently under investigation.

On 11-22-2024, an officer was dispatched to Lot 42E to meet with a complainant in reference to a hit and run. The complainant stated that on 11-22-2024, someone struck her vehicle while it was parked in Lot 42E. There are no suspects.
On 11-22-2024, an officer met with a complainant at the police department in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that between 11-21-2024 and 11-22-2024 someone took their secured bicycle from the bike rack in front of the library. There are no suspects.

On 11-19-2024, officers were dispatched to Hall 20 in reference to a subject kicking a door and yelling. The officers located the subject and discovered that he had damaged a door to a residence. The subject was arrested for criminal mischief and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. There is one suspect.

On 11-18-2024 an officer was dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to an assault. The complainant advised on 11-17-2024 he was assaulted by a known person at Steen Hall. There is one suspect.

On 11-14-2024, a UTS-SFA officer on routine patrol found where someone had drove through a chained gate in Lot 47 causing property damage to two poles. A criminal mischief report was generated for this incident. There are no suspects.

On 11-10-2024, a UTS-SFA officer contacted a suspicious vehicle that drove off the roadway at Pecan Park. The officer saw one person inside the vehicle asleep in the back seat and made contact. The subject inside the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for public intoxication. The subject was then transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. The subject was not an SFA student.

On 11-6-2024 an officer was dispatched to an alcohol related office at Steen Hall. The officer located a subject in possession of alcohol. The alcohol was disposed of and the subject was released. There is one suspect.

On 11-3-2024, a UTS-SFA officer observed a subject drinking from a liquor bottle in Lot 42. The officer contacted the subject and learned they were under the age of twenty-one. The subject was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol and released. The subject was an SFA student.
On 11-5-2024, a UTS-SFA officer met with a complainant at the police department in reference to criminal mischief. The complainant stated that between 11-4-2024 and 11-5-2024 their vehicle was vandalized while parked in the Village Parking Garage. There are no suspects.

On 11-4-2024, a UTS-SFA officer responded to the construction site of the new East College Cafeteria in reference to graffiti to the building. The complainant stated that between 11-1-2024 and 11-4-2024 someone spray painted a beam in the building. There are no suspects.
