Thursday, Mar. 20, 2025 – Friday, Mar. 21, 2025
On 3/20/2025, officers were dispatched to East College Cafeteria in refence to a disturbance in progress with weapons. The officers located two subjects who had physically assaulted each other causing bodily injury and one subject had displayed a knife. One of the subjects was arrested for assault family violence and the second subject was arrested for assault family violence and deadly conduct. Both subjects were transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident.

On 3-18-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the police department to meet with a complainant in reference to theft of a bicycle. The complainant stated that between 3-7-2025 and 3-18-2025 their unsecured bicycle was removed from the bike rack located at Griffith Hall. There are no suspects.

On 3-6-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the police department to meet with a complainant in reference to a hit and run. The complainant stated that between 3-5-2025 and 3-6-2025 their vehicle was damaged while parked in Lot 29.
On 3-16-2025, a UTS-SFA officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Rusk Street for a traffic violation. The officer contacted the driver who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Nacogdoches County jail without incident. The driver was not an SFA student.

On 3-2-2025, a UTS-SFA officer contacted a suspicious vehicle in the Village Parking Garage. The officer contacted the occupant of the vehicle and could smell a strong odor of marihuana coming from inside. The officer performed a probable cause search of the vehicle where drug paraphernalia was found. The occupant of the vehicle was issued a class c citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. The occupant was an SFA student.

On 2-26-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the Wilson Parking Garage to meet with a complainant in reference to criminal mischief. The complainant stated that between 2-21-2025 and 2-26-2025 someone damaged an elevator control panel at the Wilson Parking Garage. There are no suspects.

On 10-24-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the ECRC to assist a subject who had locked their keys in their vehicle. At the subjects request the officers unlocked her vehicle and as the door opened they could smell an odor of marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. A consent search was conducted on the vehicle where the officer located marihuana inside. The subject was issued a class b summons for possession of marihuana. The subject is an SFA student.
On 2-24-2025, UTS-SFA officers were dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to a terroristic threat. The complainant stated that his suite mate admitted to tampering with the complainant’s vehicle and when the suitemate was questioned about this the suite mate made a verbal threat about the complainant. This incident is under investigation.
Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 – Monday, Feb. 24, 2025
On 2-21-2025, a UTS-SFA officer on routine patrol observed a subject exiting Lumberjack Village. The officer knew that the subject was criminally trespassed from Lumberjack Village and contacted the subject. The subject was placed under arrest for criminal trespass and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. The subject is not currently an SFA student.
On 2-21-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to the police department to meet with a complainant in reference to an assault. The complainant stated that on 2-20-2025, they were assaulted by a known subject at the Recreation Center. There is one suspect. The parties involved are not SFA students.
On 2-22-2025, a UTS-SFA officer met with a complainant at the police department who reported damage to their vehicle. The complainant stated between 2-21-2025 and 2-22-2025 someone damaged their vehicle while it was parked in Lot 58. There are no suspects.

On 2-16-2025, a UTS-SFA officer on routine patrol contacted four male subjects standing outside of Lumberjack Village #3. Upon contact the officer identified the subjects and learned that three of the four were criminally trespassed from SFA. Those three were placed under arrest for criminal trespass and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. The three subjects were not SFA students.

On 2-7-2025, a UTS-SFA officer was dispatched to Kerr Hall to meet with a complainant in reference to theft. The complainant advised that between 2-6-2025 and 2-7-2025 their laundry was removed from the Kerr Hall laundry room without their consent. There are no suspects.
Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 – Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2025
On 2-3-2025, a UTS-SFA officer contacted a suspicious vehicle at Pecan Park located at 1002 East Starr. As the officer approached the vehicle he smelled a strong odor of marihuana. The driver admitted to smoking marihuana in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and marihuana was found. The driver was issued a class b summons for possession of marihuana. The driver was not an SFA student.
On 2-5-2025, a UTS-SFA officer stopped a vehicle on Griffith Blvd. for a traffic violation. As the officer approached the vehicle he could smell marihuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. The officer contacted the driver who admitted there was marihuana inside the vehicle. The officer retrieved a bag of marihuana from inside the vehicle and issued the driver a class b summons for possession of marihuana. The driver is an SFA student.
Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 – Monday, Feb. 3, 2025
On 2-2-2025, a UTS-SFA officer stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Baker Street for a traffic violation. As the officer contacted the driver the officer could see alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The driver was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. The driver is an SFA student.
