Volunteers

If you love gardening or simply love looking at gardens, we have a place for you. No matter your experience level or availability, SFA Gardens is full of opportunities to get involved and get connected to other like-minded folks.

Lunch Bunch is our monthly social for garden minded individuals. A variety of themed topics will be presented, and a short volunteer meeting will follow. Bring your own lunch. Third Wednesday, noon to 1 p.m. at the Ina Brundrett Conservation Education Building, 2900 Raguet, Nacogdoches, TX.

How to get involved

  1. Take a look at SFA’s volunteer policy.
  2. Fill out our information form to tell us a bit about yourself.
  3. Complete a volunteer release form.
  4. We are required to have background checks on our volunteers. Please complete Stephen F. Austin State University's disclosure consent form and follow the instructions on the form for submission.

  • Adopt a spot - curate one of the color areas
  • Maintain a safe walking space for visitors
