The Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation, a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting local law enforcement agencies, approved approximately $150,000 in funding for equipment and training. As part of the initiative, the foundation gifted The University of Texas System Police Department at Stephen F. Austin State University 30 duty tourniquets with carriers and two automated external defibrillators for new patrol vehicles. The foundation was incorporated in March 2022 and is headed by Korey Kahler, a lecturer of computer science at SFA.
