The piano pedagogy certificate instills teaching concepts, skills, and knowledge that allows you to successfully prepare for studio or class piano teaching in your home or a community school.
This program consists of a minimum of 30 credit hours and may be completed in four semesters (part-time or in conjunction with a degree program.)
Besides a core curriculum in music theory and music history, the three primary components in the degree program are:
- substantial studies in the areas of piano performance
- piano pedagogical concepts
- and supervised practice teaching.
