Scholarships

The Gloria E. Durr Scholarship for Human Sciences is presented to an academically gifted incoming freshman who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher. It can be renewed up to three additional years.

The S.R. "Ted" Hudson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a full-time hospitality administration major who is a permanent resident of one of the 25 counties represented by the East Texas Restaurant Association. The recipient is required to attend one Texas Restaurant Association Board meeting during the fall semester.

The Johnny Cace Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a full-time hospitality administration major who is a permanent resident of one of the 25 counties represented by the East Texas Restaurant Association.

The Amy Shields Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate nutrition majors who have a 2.5 minimum GPA.

The ARAMARK Scholarship is given to a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in a food management or hospitality program. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

The Best of SFA Scholarship is awarded to sophomores and above who are majoring in family and consumer sciences and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The Teagarden Human Sciences Memorial Scholarship is given to human sciences majors, sophomores and above, who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and are active in Phi Upsilon Omicron.

The Elmer and Billie Jo Childers Family Scholarship is to benefit an upper-level hospitality administration major who has a GPA of 2.5 or higher. To qualify, the student must demonstrate financial need and serve as an intern in the Alumni Office.

The Human Sciences 75th Anniversary Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in human sciences.

The Human Sciences Organizations Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in human sciences who is classified as a sophomore or above.

The LaMerle Muckleroy Harris Memorial Scholarship is given to a human sciences major at the sophomore classification or above who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Layvelle (Morris) Tullos Human Sciences Scholarship is intended for a human sciences major at the sophomore classification or above who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The ASID and John Ramsey Scholarship is given to undergraduate interior design students.

The Lauren Alston Memorial Scholarship is presented to a junior or senior majoring in hospitality administration who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Magnolia Lodging Hospitality Scholarship is intended for a human sciences major classified as a junior or senior who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Parsetta Carnes Pruitt Human Sciences Scholarship is awarded to a human sciences major classified as a sophomore or above who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Richard and Lucy Dewitt Human Sciences Hospitality Scholarship is awarded to a hospitality administration major who maintains a GPA of 2.5 or above.

The Claude and Sue Rodgers Human Sciences Scholarship is intended for a senior majoring in human sciences who has a 3.25 or higher GPA. To be considered, the student must also be active in Phi Upsilon Omicron or the Family and Consumer Sciences Student Organization.

The Sally Ann Swearingen Interior Design Scholarship is awarded to an interior design major maintaining a 2.3 GPA or higher.

The Shirley Neel Crawford Human Sciences Scholarship is intended for a human sciences major at the junior or senior classification who maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher.

The Suzy Halbert Weems Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in food, nutrition and dietetics. Must be at the sophomore classification or above, maintain a 3.5 GPA and demonstrate moral behavior.

The Willie Lee Campbell Glass Human Sciences Scholarship is intended for a human sciences major maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher.
