The SFA interior design certificate consists of 63 hours of coursework in the School of Human Sciences.
With a certification focus in interior design, you’ll learn to create attractive, safe, harmonious, and healthful spaces that promote human well-being physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Your studies will provide a foundation to pass the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications and other licensing requirements that recognize your proficiency in interior design principles and commitment to the profession.
Earning your certificate in interior design demonstrates your expertise and prepares you for a career in a variety of exciting, creative settings, including interior design and architectural firms, design consulting offices, corporate design departments and government agencies. Interior design certificate holders go on to careers as residential designers, kitchen and bath specialists, furniture designers, facilities managers, lighting designers, space planners and more.
