SFA's School of Art offers hands-on instruction in a variety of art media from your very first day on campus. We combine a foundation in traditional art making with emerging technologies and tools for cutting-edge creativity.
Our undergraduate and graduate degree programs will prepare you for careers in the visual arts ranging from art education to advertising and web design, gallery and museum work, illustration, careers in the film industry and many other creative related fields.

Master of Art in Art Education
The MAAE is designed for individuals pursuing professional training as art teachers in public schools, museums and other educational sites.
Master of Art in studio art
The MA in studio art is an advanced studio arts degree with major concentrations in art metals/jewelry, ceramics, animation, drawing, graphic design, filmmaking, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. This degree prepares students to work at the junior-college level or pursue further studies at the MFA level.
Master of Fine Art in Studio Art
The School of Art offers the MFA, a terminal advanced degree program designed for studio artists who seek the highest level of preparation in their field.
With major concentrations in animation, ceramics, drawing, filmmaking, graphic design, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, the MFA in Studio Art qualifies students to function as professional artists, apply for jobs in higher education, and seek other arts-related employment.
