Open to third through eighth grade students 

Fox sculptureThe Saturday Morning Art program provides an opportunity for the acquisition of art skills, art history and art criticism. These cognitive tools are aesthetically framed around different "big ideas", facilitating the students' comprehensive development and mastery of essential 21st-century skills.

Conducted in caring and engaging classroom environments, the program is taught by pre-service art teachers.

Curriculum encompasses a diverse range of 2D and 3D mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, animation and photography.

Age groups

Participants are split into three classes, each with a maximum of 15 students:

  • Grades 3-5
  • Grades 6-8

Spring 2024 class schedule

Class meets 9-11 a.m. in the Art Building on the following Saturdays:

  • Feb. 17
  • Feb. 24
  • March 2
  • March 23
  • April 6

Registration information

Cost: $50/student

Medical release forms, which must be completed and returned prior to the first day of class, will be sent to the email listed on the registration form.

Register and pay the non-refundable fee online through the School of Art's secure marketplace store. Registration deadline is Feb. 9.
