The volunteer Excess Accident Insurance is designed to provide essential financial support for medical expenses resulting from unexpected accidents during volunteer activities. This policy ensures that all registered volunteers have access to affordable coverage, giving them peace of mind while they contribute their time and skills.  

Key Benefits of the Plan

  • Medical Coverage Benefit: Up to $25,000 for medical expenses incurred due to an accident.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D): Coverage of $10,000 for accidental death or severe injury.
  • Policy Type: Full Excess
  • Deductible: None—participants can access benefits immediately without out-of-pocket expenses.

Hazards Insured Against: Coverage applies to all registered participants involved in supervised and sponsored activities.

Classes of Eligible Persons: All designated, recorded volunteers participating in a volunteer project through SFA.

Premium Information:  $3.50 per participant for the policy period from Mar. 28, 2024, to Mar. 28, 2025.
