NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The SFA Wind Ensemble will present "Contempo," a concert of contemporary band music, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus.

"Most of the pieces on the program were written within the last 10 years, and all were considered 'new' during their time," said Fred J. Allen, SFA director of bands and conductor of the Wind Ensemble. "We're even including a new edition of a John Philip Sousa march."

Dr. Charles Gavin, SFA professor of horn, will be the guest artist and featured soloist on Lee Actor's "Horn Concerto" during the SFA Orchestra of the Pines' concert at 730 p.m. Saturday, April 24, in Cole Concert Hall.
