Dates and Deadlines

The fall term is split into three parts-of-term: full fall, fall I and fall II. Review the dates and deadlines carefully for the parts-of-term for which you are registered.

This schedule is tentative and dates are subject to change.

Key dates

  • Early registration: April 1 to Aug. 25
  • First billing statement: July 31
  • Payment plans: available July 31
    • You must have a $0 prior balance.
  • Short-term loans: available Aug. 16
    • You must have a $0 prior balance.
    • Late registration and reinstatements: You must have a payment plan.
  • Cash advances: Aug. 27, Aug. 29 and Sept. 4
  • Payment on current amounts due:
    • Full fall payment: due Aug. 22
      • Your amount due will include all enrolled parts-of-term.
    • Fall I payment: due Aug. 22
      • Your amount due will include the fall II part-of-term, if enrolled.
    • Fall II payment: due Oct. 17

Important: If you're enrolled in more than one fall part-of-term, your amount due must be paid by the due date of the earliest part-of-term for which you're enrolled. For example, if you're enrolled in fall I and fall II classes, the payment for both parts-of-term is due Aug. 22.

  • Early registration begins.

Aug. 8
  • Past-due balances due to avoid being dropped from all of your registered courses.
Aug. 9
  • Early Fall - 4 Monthly Installment Payment Plan: First installment is due if you enrolled in this option.
    • Last day to enroll in this plan.
    • $25 Late Installment Fee is charged if installment is not paid by this deadline.
  • Any unpaid prior balance amounting $200 or more will result in your being dropped from all of your registered courses at noon.
Aug. 16
  • Financial aid is posted to student accounts.
  • Short-term loans begin. You must have a $0 past due balance. Visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship's loans webpage for more information.
  • Barnes and Noble charges against credit balances begin.
Aug. 22
  • Fall 24 - 4 Installment Payment Plan is due.
    • Last day to enroll in one of these plans.
    • First installment is due if you enrolled in this option.
    • $25 Late Installment Fee is charged if installment is not paid by this deadline.
  • Amount due will include other enrolled fall parts-of-term. This must be paid through one of the following options:
    • make payment in full
    • make installment through payment plan, if you enrolled in this option
    • or apply for a short-term loan.
Aug. 23
  • Noon drop for nonpayment for all full fall classes.
  • Deadline to withdraw with 100% refund for full fall courses.
Aug. 26
  • Full fall begins.
  • $25 Late Registration Fee begins.
Aug. 27
Sept. 3
  • Barnes and Noble charges against credit balances end.
Sept. 4
  • Cash advances end through BankMobile disbursements on credit balances.

Sept. 10
  • 5 p.m. deadline to drop with 100% refund. You must remain enrolled (you cannot drop to zero hours) to be eligible for a refund on a dropped course.
  • Second installment is due if you're enrolled in one of the following payment plans: 
    • Early Fall - 4 Monthly Installment Payment Plan
    • #1 Fall 24 - 4 Installment Payment Plan
    • #2 Fall 24 - 4 Installment Payment Plan
    • $25 Late Installment Fee is charged if installment is not paid by this deadline.
Sept. 11
  • Late Add Fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour and may add classes only upon approval from the course instructor, department chair and academic dean.
  • Manual drop for nonpayment of current amounts due at noon for all full fall classes. To register, add or change classes, you must pay current amounts due through one of the following options:
    • make payment in full
    • make installment through payment plan, if you enrolled in this option
    • or apply for a short-term loan.
  • Reinstatement Fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour if you're re-registering for a course from which you were previously dropped.
Sept. 12
  • Refunds begin weekly.
Sept. 20
  • Last day to apply for an exemption or waiver (except the Hazlewood Exemption).
  • Late adds and reinstatements end.
  • Short-term loans end for full fall
  • Deadline to withdraw with a partial refund for full fall courses.
Oct. 11
  • #3 Fall 24 - 2 Installment Payment Plan:
    • Last day to enroll in this plan.
  • Installment payment is due if you're enrolled in one of the following payment plans: 
    • Early Fall - 4 Monthly Installment Payment Plan
    • #1 Fall 24 - 4 Installment Payment Plan
    • #2 Fall 24 - 4 Installment Payment Plan
    • #3 Fall 24 - 2 Installment Payment Plan
    • $25 Late Installment Fee is charged if installment is not paid by this deadline.
Oct. 22
  • Registration holds placed on student accounts with past due balances.

Oct. 25
  • Full payment of repayment plan is due.
    • $25 Late Payment Fee is charged on any balances for repayment plan.
Nov. 8
  • Full payment of short-term loan is due.
  • Final installment payment is due if you're enrolled in one of the following payment plans:

A student officially withdrawing from the university is eligible for a refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

Dropped course refund schedule

A student dropping one or more classes but taking more than zero hours is eligible for a 100% refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

  • Full fall: On or before 4 p.m. Sept. 10
  • Fall I: On or before 4 p.m. Aug. 29
  • Fall II: On or before 4 p.m. Oct. 24

Refund dates for withdrawal or dropped courses may be modified at any time without prior notice in order to comply with state and federal guidelines.
