Nacogdoches Naturally will sponsor a family fun day at Stephen F. Austin State University's Pineywoods Native Plant Center on Saturday, Dec. 10. Located at 2900 Raguet, the event will run from 9 a.m. until noon. "Meet the Creepy Crawlers" will be an opportunity to learn about the benefits and challenges of forest animals that slither, creep, and crawl. Families will meet live animals, create "creepy crawler" crafts, and go on a guided safari hike.

SFA choirs and community chorus to present Handel's 'Messiah'
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University combined choirs and orchestra and Nacogdoches Community Chorus will present George Frideric Handel's "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in W.M. Turner Auditorium.
Handel's three-part oratorio, or unstaged opera, about the life of the messiah, was first performed in 1742. One of the most performed and popular choral works, it is appreciated by audiences all over the globe, said Tim King, SFA professor of music and the concert's director.
