A message from the Dean of Students, Dr. Andrew Dies
Welcome current and future Lumberjacks! The primary focus of the Dean of Students Office is simple — it’s you! Student wellness and well-being are the areas we are passionate about, and we seek to address them every day. We do this through six functional areas:
- Campus Recreation
- Counseling Services
- Health Services
- Student Conduct Office
- Student Outreach and Support
- Student Wellness
Everyone in these offices is here to help you be successful.
You, your well-being and your wellness are my responsibility, so please don’t ever hesitate to reach out if you need something. I can’t help you if I don’t know you need help! As the assistant vice president of student affairs and dean of students, I am here for you. I am here to advocate for you and help connect you with resources on and off campus that can enhance your experience and ensure your success while you are a student here at SFA.
Parents and family members, I firmly believe you are a vital resource for your student’s success. I am glad you have found this webpage as well. We all play a part in helping our students succeed.
Please stop by the third floor of the Baker Pattillo Student Center and say, “Hi!” Also, feel free to schedule a meeting with me.
Axe ’em, Jacks!
Andrew Dies, EdD
