The Center for Applied Research and Rural Innovation is proud to support the endeavors and goals of students who reside within the 12-county Deep East Texas region.
Eligibility and how to apply
SFA students (current and incoming)
You are eligible for consideration if you:
- currently reside in the 12-county Deep East Texas region
- and have a minimum GPA of 2.50 (undergraduate students) or 3.50 (graduate students).
Additional criteria may include showing financial need and/or being a first-generation student.
To apply for a CARRI scholarship as an SFA student, you must complete SFA's general scholarship application.
DETCCA high school students
You are eligible for consideration if you:
- participate in the Deep East Texas College and Career Alliance program
- currently reside in the 12-county Deep East Texas region
- and are planning to attend SFA.
