An enriching 12-week experience that links SFA students with meaningful internship opportunities in the Deep East Texas region.

Small cities and towns within the rural 12-county region are limited on their access to resources, educational opportunities, support for local governments and more. To help address these issues and foster new prospects within the region, CARRI's Rural Internship Program offers SFA students hands-on experience to real-world challenges happening in these local remote and rural areas.

Internships are limited with a maximum of 12 funded internship positions per semester. Interns are carefully selected by the CARRI staff and receive $15/hour compensation from SFA for a commitment of 15 hours per week.

To inquire about current internship position opportunities, email joshua.fleming@sfasu.edu.
