  • The Center for Career and Professional Development offers a variety of services including assistance with résumés and career coaching. The center utilizes both in-person and virtual interview practice.   • Academic Assistance Resource Center offers assistance in writing policy position papers. The AARC’s services include the Online Writing Lab and in-person consultation sessions. The AARC is located on the first floor of Steen Library and may be reached at aarc@sfasu.edu or 936.468.4108.
     
  • Your academic advisor can offer help in planning your degree plan/plan of study to work the Archer Fellowship Program into your time at SFA with minimal delay in graduating. Students interested in the Archer Fellowship Program are strongly encouraged to begin meeting with their academic advisor in the sophomore year of undergraduate study or early in their graduate career to make sure the Archer Fellowship Program courses and semester in Washington, D.C., fit into their degree plans and career objectives.
     
  • Faculty members in your college, degree program and area of study can help you plan for the Archer Fellowship Program, including advice on possible internship opportunities in Washington, D.C., and career objectives linked to a Washington, D.C., experience. Faculty members may also have advice on résumé development, public policies and academic experiences that may help your chances of securing an Archer Fellowship Program position.
     
  • The Archer Center contains significant resources to help you prepare for the Archer Fellowship Program, including tips on the application process, possible internships opportunities, funding information and qualifications for the programs.
