Choose your path to a degree in government

At SFA, you can choose a variety of government degree programs based on your academic and career interests. If your passion is political science, you can choose a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts. Interested in criminal justice? You can pursue a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in corrections, law enforcement or legal assistant.

Whichever major you choose, you can select a minor in any of the other major subject areas to give you a well-rounded academic foundation. We also offer a pre-law minor and the unique option of a five-year combined undergraduate/graduate degree in three major subjects to fast-track your education and career.

Major Academic Planners (Degree MAPs)

Undergraduate degree major academic planners serve as a guide for taking the right courses in the right order as you make your way toward filing your official degree plan. A Degree MAP is a semester-by-semester sequence of courses that suggests courses you should complete each semester to be “on track” to graduation.
