ABOUT

SFA's campus-wide advising organization, the Professional Academic Advising Council provides academic advisors with:

  • information and resources
  • professional development
  • and updates on the latest information about policy and services on campus.

All academic advisors are encouraged to attend PAAC monthly meetings and to join the PAAC email distribution list.

Academic Advising Handbook

Monthly meetings

Held in person and via Zoom, PAAC meetings occur 2 to 3 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. Throughout the year, meetings will alternate between being open to only academic advisors or also including the PAAC executive committee.

If you would like to be added to an upcoming agenda, submit an online request.

Executive committee

Approved by the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, the PAAC executive committee is comprised of representatives from each college. View details on the Academic Affairs Committees webpage.
