Scholarship Student

Waiver applies to nonresident tuition, reducing the amount to Texas resident tuition rates.

Eligibility

Eligible nonresident or foreign students are those who:

• are receiving a competitive scholarship (or a combination of scholarships) totaling at least $1,000
• have competed with other students, including Texas residents, for the award
• and may receive a waiver of nonresident tuition for the period of time covered by the scholarship, not to exceed 12 months.

Waivers may be received in any year in which the student meets the competitive scholarship requirements.

How to apply

Complete SFA's general scholarship application by following the instructions on the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship's website. Waiver will be applied automatically if your application shows your eligibility.
