SFA has partnered with Freese and Nichols Inc. for professional services in conjunction with the development of a campus master plan.
This project will provide SFA with a multi-year, comprehensive campus master plan to be used by the university to address new development needs and refine existing development ideas for the SFA campus. The campus master plan will incorporate university leadership and stakeholder input; educational goals; and an analysis of existing conditions, current opportunities and constraints, and projected needs.
As part of the project's scope, the campus master plan project team will prepare existing land use and open space plans to form a baseline for future changes. These existing condition maps will indicate the accurate size and location of all buildings, building usage, streets, parking lots, and other areas, such as outdoor spaces, playing fields, landscaping, etc. The plans will also include vehicular circulation and pedestrian circulation. The efforts of FNI’s seven consulting partners will be used for demographics, enrollment and space utilization analysis, technology planning, utility planning, intercollegiate athletics planning, landscape design guidelines, cost estimates and 3D graphic renderings.
