All School of Honors applicants must have clear admission to SFA.
Admission requirements
Incoming first-year students
To be eligible for the School of Honors, you must:
- have minimum standardized test scores of SAT 1290 or ACT 27
- and complete steps to apply to SFA as a first-year student.
Transfer students
To be eligible for the School of Honors, you must:
- have a minimum cumulative transferable 3.25 GPA on 12 or more transferable credit hours
- be in good academic standing
- and complete steps to apply to SFA as a transfer student.
Note: If you have fewer than 12 transferable credit hours, you also must submit official standardized test scores (SAT 1290, ACT 27).

Current SFA students
To be eligible for the School of Honors, you must:
- have a minimum cumulative transferable 3.25 GPA on 12 or more SFA credit hours
- and be in good academic standing.
Note: If you have fewer than 12 credit hours earned at SFA, you also must submit:
- official standardized test scores (SAT 1290, ACT 27)
- or have a minimum cumulative transferable 3.25 GPA on 12 or more transferable credit hours.
Applying for School of Honors membership
After you receive your clear admission from SFA, you'll need to apply to the School of Honors.
Once admitted, you must maintain certain criteria to continue your School of Honors membership.
