What drew you to the higher education world?

Who wouldn’t want to work on a college campus? Every day, I get to engage with others who are passionate about their interests in a beautiful work environment. I love interacting with our students, making their time on campus memorable, and setting them up for a bright future.

What do you enjoy most about your role at SFA?

Setting and achieving goals. Solving problems. Making systems and processes work better for students and others on campus. Collaborating with colleagues.

What do you hope students gain from SFA?

What they came for — the degree — and more. I hope they leave SFA with the ability and desire to make a positive contribution to society and enjoy success in their chosen field. I also want them to have a great experience and tell everyone they meet about SFA!

What are you passionate about outside of your role at SFA?

My family, including my husband, daughter (graduate student), son (undergraduate student), and two labrador retrievers. “Adventurous” cooking and eating. Reading — I am on a memoir kick right now. Travel and spending time outdoors. I recently took a creative writing class, and now I am writing a fiction book. I only have two chapters done though!
