What drew you to the higher education world?

After spending 30 years in healthcare finance, it was time for a change. I returned to where it all started - SFA, my alma mater. Most people do not know that my initial plan was to teach high school math! 

What do you enjoy most about your role at SFA?

Learning. I love learning new things. In my role, I have the opportunity to explore how things are done across campus. It is amazing how many moving pieces are necessary to carry out SFA's mission. As a bonus, I get to meet people that I might not otherwise have the opportunity to. 

What do you hope students gain from SFA?

Home. I hope that students find SFA home, a place where they can grow, learn, and gain a meaningful education that will propel them into becoming successful in life. 

What are you passionate about outside of your role at SFA?

Faith and family. I love all things family, including being a grandmother. I am active in my church and enjoy serving others. My husband, Mark, and I can be seen at most SFA volleyball games.
