Amy Camacho

Amy joined the Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research in September 2019. Previous experience in the private sector and at SFA lead Amy to her current role as Senior Institutional Research Analyst. Amy is a native of Nacogdoches who received her Bachelor of Business Administration from SFA in 2014 and plans to complete her Master of Business Administration in May 2023.  

Amy specializes in managing institutional projects and analyses.

Karyn Hall

Karyn has served as the director since 2005 after operation in a variety of institutional research leadership roles since 1998. In addition to more than 25 years of higher education institutional research, strategy, data management and analysis and accountability administration, Karyn also leans on professional private sector experience in scientific research and analyses to lead the SFA Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research. Karyn holds SFA bachelor and master degrees as well as State of Texas educator certification.

Karyn serves SFA as the executive institutional research and data authority and provides direct administration for the Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research, including university oversight for guiding institutional data integrity and management, strategic decision support, accountability, and other institutional research activities across all university divisions.

Shelby Winthrop DeWitt

Following employment as an environmental program coordinator with the state of Arkansas in 2018, Shelby returned to SFA and worked with the Office of Student Affairs before joining the Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research in 2020. Shelby is a native of Nacogdoches and earned her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Journalism from SFA. Shelby worked in local and state historic sites and archives prior to obtaining her SFA Masters of Arts in Public History.  

Shelby focuses on SFA data integrity and validation efforts while managing institutional accountability activities.

Morgan Cortines

Morgan is a native of Nacogdoches and joined the Office of Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from SFA and a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Florida. Over the last decade, Morgan has worked in various higher education positions and has served as the SFA Associate Director of Institutional Research since 2020.  

Morgan acts in numerous capacities and uses her diverse expertise to direct institutional improvements and planning.
