All candidates for the professional Master of Business Administration are required to complete 36 semester-credit-hours of graduate-level business courses: eight core MBA courses and four business electives.

*MGMT 5317 is a capstone course and must be taken in the last semester of study. You may take other courses simultaneously.
Electives
(12 semester-credit-hours, 4 courses)
You may take any 5000-level business course that is available in rotation. You can view these options through the online dynamic schedule of classes, or contact the MBA director.
If you'd like to take a nonbusiness course as an elective, you must first receive approval from the MBA director.
If you're pursuing an MBA concentration in Human Resource Management or Sports Business, there are specific courses from which to choose your electives.

Additional program requirements
- All courses must be completed within six years of graduate enrollment.
- To remain in good standing, students must have a 3.0 GPA (B average) in all graduate work.
- No Ds and no more than two Cs may be counted toward graduate degree requirements.
- No more than two graduate classes may be repeated to improve the course grade.
- The GPA may not be improved by retaking a course at another university.
- When approved by the MBA director, a student may transfer a maximum of 12 semester-credit-hours from another school.
- To satisfy the university’s comprehensive exam requirement, a grade of B or better is required in the capstone MGMT 5317 course.
