Following approval for reasonable academic accommodations, students should understand their responsibilities throughout the process. Student responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Meet with Disability Services staff prior to initial semester in which accommodations will be requested.
  • Make specific requests for reasonable accommodations each semester in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the accommodation process and understand that the process is intended to be interactive and collaborative.
  • Initiate conference with each instructor to ensure mutual understanding of how accommodations will be provided.
  • Contact Disability Services if questions or difficulties related to the provision of accommodations arise that cannot be resolved between the student and faculty.
  • Abide by the student code of conduct and other regulations applicable to all students enrolled at SFA.
