SFA offers hundreds of scholarship opportunities to help you with college expenses. You just need to explore and apply!

Scholarship opportunities for Schlief School of Accountancy students

The school will send you an application through your mySFA email each year. To apply for these and similar opportunities, return the completed application by following the instructions provided in the email. Your application submission will allow our scholarship committee to assist in finding you all possible opportunities within our database.

Opportunities available through the department

Beverly H. Smith Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to benefit outstanding students who are in good academic standing and in the five-year BBA/MPA accountancy program.

S.D. Redfield O/S Accounting

This scholarship is to benefit accounting majors who are expected to graduate within the current school year. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA, taken 60+ credit hours at SFA, and contributed in extracurricular activities related to accounting.

Gerald W Schlief Scholars

This scholarship is intended for a full-time undergraduate or graduate accounting major who has a 3.8 GPA or higher for all coursework, including any courses not taken at SFA.

Recipient must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at SFA with six of those from accounting courses. Additionally, recipient must have 12 credit hours completed in accounting courses, six of those taken at SFA.

William G. "Bill" McGaughey Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit an accounting major.

A. Wayne Corley Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit an accounting major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who can demonstrate financial need.

Alma M. Casey Business Scholarship

This scholarship is for the benefit of sophomore, junior or senior accounting majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Avie Squier Douglas Memorial Accounting and Finance Scholarship

This scholarship is for the benefit of juniors or seniors who are accounting majors or finance majors with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Betty Fagan Burr Scholarship

This scholarship is for the benefit of accounting majors who have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Claude and Sue Rodgers Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit senior accounting majors with a 3.25 GPA or higher. Student must be active in Beta Alpha Psi or the Accounting Club and work part time.

David Marshall Doss Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit male accounting majors.

Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit accounting majors who have completed a minimum of nine hours in accounting with at least three advanced hours taken at SFA. Recipient must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, both overall and in accounting courses.

Dr. Treba A. Marsh - Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship

This scholarship is to support a junior or senior accounting major with a 3.0 GPA or higher who demonstrates financial need.

Freshman Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit incoming first-year accounting majors.

Loretta Ann Clift Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit an accounting major with a non-weighted high school GPA between 2.5 and 3.5. The recipient must be an incoming first-year student and demonstrate financial need.

Lynn and Marian Montes Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an accounting major.

Mark D. Feldman Scholarship

 

This scholarship is intended to benefit junior or senior accounting majors who are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and in good academic standing with SFA. Recipient must make appropriate progress each term on their degree requirements.

Mickey Smith Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an accounting major maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

Regents Scholarship - Accounting

This scholarship is intended for an incoming first-year, sophomore or junior-level student who has not previously attended SFA.

The student must be in the top 15% of their graduating high school class or have a minimum ACT score of 27 or SAT score of 1220. 

Rusche Scholarship - Accounting

This scholarship is intended for an accounting major who demonstrates financial need.

Sammie L. Smith Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an outstanding accounting major who is in good academic standing.

Sharron M. Graves - Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship

This scholarship is to support a junior or senior accounting major  with a 2.8 GPA or higher who demonstrates financial need.

Temple Inland Employee Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is for a full-time junior accounting major with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

The Tony Clifton Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for a junior or senior accounting major who maintains a 3.0 GPA.

Wilbur Alexander Accounting Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for a junior or senior accounting major with a 2.5 GPA.
