Partnership with Nacogdoches High School and Lufkin High School

Our STEM Academy students engage in real-world, problem-based research and field experiences in a supportive community of teachers and SFA faculty. Students who participate in STEM Academy will learn more about STEM and STEM-related career options and participate in a variety of activities, including:

  • half-day visits to SFA laboratories or field sites, led by SFA faculty
  • mentoring opportunities
  • and the investigation of STEM careers and career paths.

STEM Academy students will have the opportunity to earn college credit hours in math and science.

Students in the Nacogdoches and Lufkin Independent School Districts, who are interested in SFA STEM Academy, must apply through their school district.
