Who We Are

SFA’s STEM Education and Research Center serves the university and the region by raising interest and awareness in science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Our mission is to educate, train and inspire the next generation of STEM students and teachers in a world increasingly advanced by innovation.

Since 2011, the STEM Education and Research Center has served more than 13,000 students and teachers in the deep East Texas region and beyond. With generous funding support from the National Science Foundation, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Texas Workforce Commission, the center has been able to offer a variety of programs for K-12 students and teachers.
