SFA University Press

THE SFA University Press publishes a wide-range of books and journals.  The Press has published poets, writers, and artists from around the globe and is equally committed to authors of the region.  The press has published work related to the history and culture of East Texas, as well as the surrounding region, and volumes devoted to forestry, archeology, folklore, fiction, poetry, biography, creative nonfiction, general interest nonfiction, art books, cookbooks, and literary criticism.  The SFA Press also publishes children's and young adult literature.  Press titles have won international, national, and regional awards.

SFA Press is distributed world-wide as a member of the Texas A&M University Press consortium; its books are available through Amazon and Ingram's, among other venues.

Fiction and poetry prizes

The SFA Press offers fiction and poetry prizes annually.  For further information, please watch for announcements.

Student internships / involvement

SFA English and Creative Writing students have opportunities to serve as publishing interns or as student workers.  Students may take internship coursework that places them at the helm of publishing projects; at the graduate level, students pursuing the M.A. in English may be awarded an assistantship with the Press.
