Army and Air Force Tuition Assistance students will need to let me know you intend to use TA and then complete to following:
Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, and Space Force: Active Duty, and Reserves:
SFA does not currently have an MOU for these programs. If you would like to use TA at SFA, please reach out to the VRC as soon as possible to initiate the MOU request process. See additional information regarding military tuition assistance on the Student Business Services website.
ARMY: Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists
- Create an account on ArmyIgnitED and submit an education goal.
- Once your education path is approved, you will request assistance
- no earlier than 60 days prior to the start of the semester and
- no later than 7 days prior to the start of the semester.
- Register for classes at SFA and upload them to your ArmyIgnitED account.
- If you cannot add a course, please reach out to your base’s education office.
- If they cannot help, reach out to the VRC, and we can walk you through the process.
- Provide a copy of your orders to receive in-state tuition.
AIR FORCE: Active Duty, National Guard
- Register for classes at SFA.
- Create and account on AI Portal and submit an application.
- The window for the application is no more than 45 days prior to the start of the semester; and
- no later than 7 days prior to the start of the semester.
- Input your courses
- If you are having trouble with this step, please reach out to your base’s education office.
- Choose the registration fees.
- Submit your application.
- Provide a copy of your orders to receive in-state tuition.
