The TOEFL is only offered on computer on specific dates and times. Please call (800) 468-6335 to schedule an appointment. You can also register online at www.ets.org/toefl. You can pick up a TOEFL information bulletin by visiting Testing Services, SFA Rusk Building, third floor or call (936) 468-3958 to find out how a bulletin can be mailed to you.

Cost

The TOEFL iBT test fee varies by country. To find out what the fee is in your testing location, go to the Learners and Test Takers section of the TOEFL website, select “Register for the Test” and choose your location.

Identification Information

Information Required:

You must have acceptable and valid identification to be admitted to a test center. Without it you cannot test and you will lose your registration fee. If you are NOT a citizen of the country where you will take the test, you must present your passport. If you are a citizen where you will take the test, you must present a passport, driver's license, State/Province ID issued by the motor vehicle agency, national ID or military ID. Your identification document must be current (not-expired) and must contain your name as given at registration, your signature and a recent recognizable photograph. Expired or photographic forms of ID are not accepted.  All identification documents must be originals; photocopies are not acceptable.

You must use the exact name and spelling of your name as shown on your primary identification document.

Unacceptable Identification Documents

  • Any expired ID
  • International driver’s license
  • Draft classification card
  • International student card
  • Credit/debit card of any kind
  • Notary-prepared letter or document
  • Social Security card
  • Employee ID card
  • Learner’s permit or any temporary identification document (e.g., driver’s license)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Photocopy of ID

Test Takers with Disabilities

Non-standard testing accommodations are available for examinees with disabilities. You must provide the necessary documentation and meet certain criteria. You must register through ETS well in advance of scheduling your test to receive approved accommodations. Refer to the Bulletin and Bulletin Supplement for Test Takers with Disabilities or Health-related Needs for additional information.

Additional Information

Cellular telephones, PDAs, beepers, cameras, and all photographic, communication computer, electronic and BlackBerrry® devices are strictly prohibited in the testing room. You must not access these prohibited items during the test or during breaks.

Food, drinks, gum and candy are not permitted in the testing room!
