Scholarships are financial awards that do not have to be repaid. The College of Sciences and Mathematics has many scholarship opportunities for students of any classification within the college and its departments.

Kylan Branch Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for fourth-year students in the pre-veterinary track, maintaining a 3.5 GPA and planning on attending veterinary school.

J.H. Burr Scholarship

This scholarship is available to third-year students who are majoring in biology and have a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Matthew Clark Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students on a pre-dentistry track. Recipients must be U.S. citizens and have a GPA of 3.25 of higher.

Anna Beth Connell Scholarship

This scholarship is available to female students who plan to enter the medical field. To qualify, applicants must be upper-level students with a minimum GPA of 3.5. East Texas residents will be given priority.

Russell C. Faulkner Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to upper-level students who are biology or pre-professional majors and have a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Sam and Tannie Gandy Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be on a pre-dentistry track and have at least 12 hours at SFA. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher.

W.E. and Barbara Gandy Scholarship

This award is for students pursuing a pre-dentistry track. To qualify, applicants must have a 3.25 GPA and have earned at least 12 hours at SFA.

Dr. Vernon and "Bill" Evans Glenn Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for a pre-physician's assistant or biology major, maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

Michael and Jackie Harbordt Scholarship in Pre-Medicine

This scholarship benefits a student planning on becoming a physician, in a pre-health professions track with a GPA of at least a 2.0 or better.

Nac-San Augustine Counties Medical Association Alliance

This scholarship is intended for an upper-level student. Recipient will also be a resident of Nacogdoches or San Augustine County, maintaining a 3.25 GPA, and majoring in nursing or pre-professional program.

William Pitts Scholarship

This scholarship is for students majoring in nursing or pre-professional with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.

David Robertson Memorial Scholarship by Pfizer, Inc.

This scholarship is available to upper-level students majoring in chemistry or biology with an emphasis on health research. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

W. V. "Mike" Robertson Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for a student majoring in biology (pre-professional), who has earned 30 hours at SFA and has a 3.0 GPA.

Frances Hazel Vanhoover (Duke) Ross Memorial Pre-medical Scholarship

This scholarship is to benefit upper-level, pre-med majors who have a GPA of 3.6 or better.

University Regents Scholarship – Pre-health

This award opportunity, which provides up to $3,000 per academic year, is for first-time incoming students at the freshman, sophomore or junior level who pursue a pre-health program of study. Learn more about requirements and renewals.
