Our English programs offer a comprehensive range of challenging curricula in literary and writing studies. With the options provided in our three major programs, as well as our five minors and two certificates, you can customize your degree plan to fit your specific interests and career direction.

Degrees and areas of study offered

The Department of English and Creative Writing offers two undergraduate degrees and one graduate degree:

Major Academic Planners (Degree MAPs)

Undergraduate degree major academic planners serve as a guide for taking the right courses in the right order as you make your way toward filing your official degree plan. A Degree MAP is a semester-by-semester sequence of courses that suggests courses you should complete each semester to be “on track” to graduation.
