SFA children's series to present 'Cinderella'


American Family Theater, Inc. will present an original musical version of "Cinderella" at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of the Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts' Children's Performing Arts Series.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - East Texas parents and teachers can still make reservations for their children and students to see "Cinderella" at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. The event is a presentation of the SFA College of Fine Arts' Children's Performing Arts Series.

"We are excited about bringing the popular story of Cinderella to the Turner stage," said Diane Flynn, children's series director. "Kindergartners through sixth graders will surely enjoy seeing the servant girl, evil step-mother and step-sisters, handsome prince and fairy godmother brought to life."

The musical, written by Don Kersey, will be performed by American Family Theater, Inc., one of the nation's premier producers of musicals for families and young audiences.
