Definition of Referendum
A referendum is a campus-wide student vote to gather the official opinion of the student body on a specific topic.
When the referendum will take place: April 4-6, 2024
The Student Government Association will be hosting a special vote April 4-6. The student referendum will provide an opportunity for the student body to cast their vote on a proposed athletics fee that would increase the available student service fee allocation of $960,000 by eliminating the current funding from the student service fee to athletics.
The proposed fee will be $10 per credit hour capped at 12 hours. This would be a maximum of $120 per semester per student.

Impact:
If passed, the fee increase would impact enrolled students starting fall 2024.
Voting:
Currently enrolled students can vote beginning at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, April 4, through 12:01 a.m. Saturday April 6. The ballot will be sent through SFA email with the subject line "SFA Referendum Ballot: Vote Now!"
