JackText is an informational text messaging service that allows University offices to communicate with students, faculty, and staff regarding university business and extracurricular activities. It is not the same as the Campus Alert system, which is used to notify students, faculty and staff of situations on, or near to, campus that they should be aware of, such as severe weather, crime alerts, or active emergency situations.
Anyone with a mySFA account can sign up for JackText messaging. You may also sign up family and friends to receive university notifications, including student business and extracurricular notifications as well as payroll notifications. There is no charge to participate in the JackText messaging service; however, you may be charged by your cell phone service provider for your text messaging service.

- Go to the Campus Life tab in mySFA
