NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Stephen F. Austin State University will be featured on an episode of the Amazon Prime television series "The College Tour," which highlights colleges and universities across the country and showcases campus life through stories told by current students.
Hosted by Alex Boylan, winner of CBS’s "The Amazing Race," each episode of "The College Tour" focuses on a single institution, providing an in-depth look at academics, campus culture and student experiences.
"We are thrilled to be able to participate in 'The College Tour' and share the many parts of the campus experience that make SFA unique," said Dr. Kent Willis, senior vice president of enrollment and student engagement. "This award-winning show is a great opportunity to show prospective students what life as a Lumberjack is like."
Students are in the process of auditioning for one of 10 available spots in the episode where they’ll be invited to speak about topics that resonate with their university experience. SFA's episode will highlight the university's state-of-the-art facilities, academic programs, one-of-a-kind traditions, involvement opportunities and thriving campus environment, with current students sharing their perspectives on life at the university.
“The College Tour” crew will be on campus March 3-7 to film. The SFA episode is scheduled to premiere in fall 2025 and will be available for streaming on multiple platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Google TV, Niche and Nearpod. It will also be on “The College Tour” app and website that is served to over 60,000 high school counselors nationwide.
