SRT student ensembles to perform at Banita Creek Hall


NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Student ensembles in the Sound Recording Technology program at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Banita Creek Hall.
 
The Popular Music Ensemble will perform “Gravity” by John Mayer; “Rock and a Hard Place” by Bailey Zimmerman; and “Bodysnatchers” by Radiohead, among other works. The Commercial Music Ensemble will perform “Headstone” by Whiskey Myers; “Son of a Sinner” by Jelly Roll; and “Zombie” by Bad Wolves, along with other artists. Both groups are directed by James Taylor, SRT lecturer in the School of Music.
 
Among the works performed by the Contemporary Music Ensemble are “Happiness” by The 1975; “Locket” by Crumb; and two original songs by ensemble students, among other works. The Contemporary Music Ensemble is directed by James Adams, SRT program director.
