SFA art students to host ‘Jacks of All Trades’ pop-up exhibition

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Advanced and graduate sculpture installation students at Stephen F. Austin State University, along with their professor, Eden Collins, will host “Jacks of All Trades,” a pop-up exhibition, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Turner Fabrication, 718 S. University Drive, Nacogdoches.
 
The exhibition will include installation sculptures, interactive artworks and performance pieces. Artists include graduate students Dave Clark, Melonie Kotschwar and Gavin Gilmore; undergraduate students Leah Baters, Brandon Cano De Leon, Emily Gilbert, Bryce Hopkins, Nate Morris and Grimm Thompson; and Collins, assistant professor in the School of Art.
 
“We are excited to partner with Turner Fabrication for our upcoming exhibition and to bring art to the industrial area of University Drive,” Collins said. “Thanks to Matt Turner for granting us this opportunity. This will be the second biennial pop-up exhibition hosted by this class, the first of which took place in November 2021 at Fire House Nac Artist Collective.”
