NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Madyson Hill, Stephen F. Austin State University art/graphic design junior from Fort Worth, is a 2023 American Advertising Federation District 10 $5000 Scholarship recipient. The AAF 10th District Scholarship is designed to recognize, promote, and encourage academically talented students of creative disciplines, helping them complete their education.

"I want to say thank you to the donors and host AAF for this scholarship,” Hill said. “This scholarship is the physical embodiment of all the hard work I have put into my professional studies, and I am so grateful to receive it."

Hill also received first place honors at another AAF-Houston competition last fall. She is a graphic design intern at the Naranjo Museum in Lufkin this semester, and she served as the team leader on the SFA-AAF NSAC Indeed.com campaign team.

Hill hopes to work as a creative director in a design agency following graduation from college. "After I graduate, I plan to join an advertising agency where I can express my creativity by doing great design, continue to learn and continue to grow as an artist."

The Advertising Education Foundation of Houston awards scholarships to college sophomores, juniors and seniors pursuing undergraduate or post graduate degrees in advertising, communications, interactive marketing, journalism, radio/TV, commercial art, public relations or related fields. Students attending colleges and universities located in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, the four states that encompass American Advertising Federation District 10, are eligible to apply.
