NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Stephen F. Austin State University’s Campus Recreation Department will host the sixth annual Worsham Bass Tournament Saturday, June 30, at Jackson Hill Park and Marina on Lake Sam Rayburn in Broaddus.
All proceeds will benefit the Dr. Raymond Lee Worsham Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to Campus Recreation student workers.
Worsham served as the intramural department director at SFA for 43 years. The scholarship was created to honor Worsham’s dedication to SFA and recognize his lasting impact.
Participants can register for the tournament online at sfaalumni.com/event/Bass2018, mail a registration form to the SFA Alumni Association or register beginning at 5 a.m. on June 30 at the Jackson Hill Park boat ramp.
There will be a 60-percent payout for first, second and third place, and a prize package for the “Big Bass.” The entry fee is $150 per boat.
