NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin State University's season-opener football game against Southwestern Oklahoma has been postponed until Friday due to anticipated inclement weather related to Hurricane Isaac.
All other game-day activities, including Freshman Tailgate and Jack Camp reunion, Veterans Tailgate, Alumni Corner tailgate, and Jacks Charge, have been moved to Friday at the same scheduled times. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Homer Bryce Stadium.
The Presidents' Kickoff for freshmen and new students in William R. Johnson Coliseum will be held as scheduled, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. Thursday and the program starting at 4 p.m. In addition to SFA President Baker Pattillo, the presidents of SFA's Student Government Association, Student Activities Association and Residence Hall Association are scheduled to meet with new students at the event.
A planned dedication of James Campbell Plaza, located at the north end of the stadium, has been postponed until Sept. 29.
