Central Heights eighth grader Cameron LaGraff will sing the role of Amahl in the SFA School of Music's production of Gian Carlo Menotti's classic Christmas opera, "Amahl and the Night Visitors," at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, and at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. The originally scheduled 9 a.m. performance on Thursday has been canceled. The opera, written in English, tells the story of a poor, crippled shepherd boy and his mother, who are visited by the Three Kings during their journey to the Christ Child. Tickets for the Thursday performance are $6 for individuals and $5 each for groups of 20 or more. Tickets for the Saturday performance are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors, students and youth.
