NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present the annual Pi Kappa Lambda Faculty Recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

"This will be the best, and probably only, chance to hear so many of the School of Music's faculty members performing on the same recital this year," said Brian Utley, SFA associate professor of music and president of the local chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda.

Performing in a variety of solo and ensemble settings, the musicians will present a "potpourri-style" concert, explained Utley.

Vocalists to perform include Debbie Berry, Richard Berry, Deborah Dalton, Bruce Fowler, David Howard, Nita Hudson, Kimberly LaGraff, Scott LaGraff and Jamie Weaver.

The program also includes pianists Mario Ajero, Mary Cooper, Jim Faucett and Ron Petti; string players Jennifer Dalmas, Gene H. Moon and Evgeni Raychev; and oboist John W. Goodall and percussionist Scott Harris.

A brass quintet composed of Charles Gavin, J.D. Salas, Deb Scott, Gary Wurtz and student Jarrod Beard will also perform.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students. Proceeds will benefit the Pi Kappa Lambda scholarship given annually to the sophomore music major with the highest grade point average.
