Student Employment Process
For students looking for an on campus job or have been referred for a position on campus by a faculty/staff member, you MUST start with the Human Recourses (HR) application. The link below will direct you to the "On Campus Student Job Openings" that are currently open for all students. You will need to submit the formal application and follow the instructions below.
Human Resources-"Student Assistant/Work Study Position"
If you have not worked as a student employee for SFASU, there are a few steps to complete your hiring process. First, the "Student Employee Paperwork" must be filled out and turned in to Human Resources, Located on the 2nd floor of the Austin Building. Packets are available in Forestry 103. Or, if you prefer, use the link below to access the necessary forms.

Forms included in the packet:
- Form W-4
- Form I-9
- Student Employee Datasheet
- New Employee Work Authorization Questionnaire
- Property Liability Acknowledgement Form
- Direct Deposit Form
In addition to turning in the paperwork to Human Resources(HR), two training sessions must be completed by all new student employees. The link below will take you to the Student Employment Training web page with the information to help you schedule you ASAP (Advancing Student As Professionals) training, and also contains a link to the online EEO training. EEO training will need to be completed for HR to approve your paperwork. ASAP is a training conducted by Career Services, Located on the 3rd floor of the Rusk building.

Finally, HR will issue a "GO CARD" which verifies that you have completed your paperwork with them. Bring the card to Forestry as soon as it has been issued to you.
VAN DRIVERS
If you are applying to become a van driver please come by Forestry 103D and pick up an application form and instructions for obtaining your university driving permit and van certification after HR paperwork is complete.
