Coffee Connoisseurs: Java Jack's celebrates 20 years

The daily grind for Sarah ’91 and Brent Patton begins in much the same way it does for millions of people worldwide — brewing a fresh cup of coffee. But they don’t stop there. By day’s end, employees at the couple’s Nacogdoches coffeehouse, Java Jack’s, brew hundreds of cups of coffee and serve them to SFA students, Nacogdoches residents and sleepy-eyed travelers.


The grandson of a pipefitter continues fighting for workers’ rights

O.D. Kenemore fought to protect his co-workers from dangerous working conditions, and his grandson, Jason Gibson '95, is continuing his legacy. As an attorney, Gibson has not only earned accolades in his profession, he has earned millions of dollars for the people he represents.
