The Stephen F. Austin State University Department of Mathematics will continue to host East Texas Math Teachers' Circle this academic year. ETMTC is an opportunity for middle and high school mathematics teachers to rediscover their love for mathematics by exploring problem solving with SFA mathematics faculty members. Emphasis is placed on the development of problem-solving strategies that can be taken back to area mathematics classrooms. The ETMTC is open to all mathematics teachers, and no reservations are required. Additional Math Teaching Circle activities for the 2014-15 academic year are scheduled for Oct. 7, Nov. 11, Dec. 9, Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 3 and May 26. All activities are held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Room 123 of the Math Building, and dinner is provided. For more information, contact Dr. Jane Long at
