SFA Gardens lecture series to feature Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden director

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The SFA Gardens at Stephen F. Austin State University will host the monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Agriculture Building, Room 110, at 1924 Wilson Drive.
Dr. Todd Lasseigne, president and CEO of the Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden in Tulsa, Okla., will present "The OCBG: Proving That There's Plant Life Here." Lasseigne has been with the OCBG since 2011. He previously served as executive director of the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville, N.C., and as instructor and assistant director at J.C. Raulston Arboretum at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. He is active in the American Public Gardens Association.
Lasseigne received his B.S. in horticulture from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, his M.S. in horticulture from the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. in horticultural science from North Carolina State University.
The Theresa and Les Reeves Garden Lecture Series is normally held the third Thursday of each month at the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture's SFA Mast Arboretum. A rare plant raffle will be held after the program. The lecture is free and open to the public, but donations to the Theresa and Les Reeves Garden Lecture Series endowed fund are always appreciated.
